What does it do?
Car-deck pricing is where a vehicle's fare is decided — by class, by length, by route and season — priced against the lane-metres it consumes rather than a flat per-vehicle rate. It is the vehicle counterpart to passenger Dynamic pricing.
Because it prices against real consumption, a lorry and a car on the same deck pay for what they actually take, and a rule change applies forward without reissuing tickets.
