Working surfaces

BORA Systems handles a passenger or vehicle at every physical point of the journey on standard hardware: a self-service kiosk at the terminal, cameras at the vehicle gate, a handheld validator at the ramp, and a point of sale on board. Each writes into the same shared ledger, so a ticket is the same object wherever it is sold or scanned.

The ramp validator and the gate stay fully functional offline — the one place a network is least reliable — and reconcile with the system when the link returns.
