Capacity — Vehicles is the car-deck side of capacity: lane-metres, weight and slots, so a vehicle is booked and loaded against what the deck can actually take.

What does it do?
Vehicles describes what the car decks can carry — in lane-metres, weight and slots — so a vehicle booking is measured against real capacity, not a rough count. It is the vehicle counterpart to passenger Inventory.
Because the deck is described in the units vehicles actually consume, a full car deck is genuinely full: an oversize vehicle is caught at booking or the gate, not discovered on the ramp.

Vehicles exposes a local API so an operator's own tools can read remaining car-deck capacity.

How is a vehicle booked?
In BORA's Vehicles module a vehicle is booked against the lane-metres and weight it consumes on the ferry's car deck, not a simple count, so a full deck is genuinely full.
What catches an oversize vehicle?
BORA's vehicle gate measures each vehicle against the car-deck limits held in the Vehicles module before loading, so an oversize vehicle is caught at the gate rather than on the ramp.
Is this the same as Inventory?
No. In BORA the Vehicles module describes car-deck capacity, while the Inventory module describes passenger capacity.
