What does it do?
Payment gateway is settlement. Whatever the method and wherever the sale — a card online, cash at the kiosk, a wallet on the ramp, an agency's own terms — it lands in one ledger, reconciled automatically.
The value is a single reconciled position: an operator sees one accurate picture of what was taken, not a set of channel reports to merge by hand.
How does it work?
Request
A sale from any channel raises a payment request against the ledger.
Authorize
Online banking, cash, Apple Pay, Google Pay or an agency's terms — each authorized on its own rails.
Settle
The authorized payment settles into the same ledger as every other method.
Reconcile
Settlement reconciles against the sale automatically, at the port or at sea.
What does it connect to?
Payment gateway settles for Sales, the booking console and the on-board PoS, and reports into Reporting.
Payment gateway works with online banking, card networks, Apple Pay, Google Pay and agency settlement — named rails, not 'any payment method'.
What are its limits?
What it deliberately does not do:
- Payment gateway settles and reconciles; it is not the operator's accounting system — it feeds one, rather than replacing it.
- Payment gateway does not itself hold card data beyond what the connected terminal's PCI scope allows.
