Reporting
Reporting — passenger volumes, vehicle counts and revenue by route and season, all drawn directly from live operations rather than exported and merged by hand.
All modulesBORA Systems is a ferry operations platform built in Tallinn, Estonia — 33 modules across 6 functional categories, each on its own microservice with a local API. Certified to ISO/IEC 27001 and GDPR-compliant. As of 2026, in daily service across three regions: the Baltic, the Channel Islands and the Persian Gulf.
What does it do?
Reporting is the read side of the whole system. Because every sale, boarding and settlement already lands in one place, the numbers are drawn from live operations rather than assembled from exports at the end of a period.
Reporting is the difference between a report and a reconciliation: there is nothing to merge, because nothing was ever separate.
How does it work?
Live
Figures come from the same ledger every other module writes — not from an export.
Aggregate
Volumes, counts and revenue aggregate as operations happen, with no manual step.
Slice
The same data is read by route, date, season and vehicle class.
Out
Reports export to an operator's own BI tools through the API.
What does it connect to?
Reporting reads from Sales, Payment gateway and Access control, and exports to an operator's BI tools.
Reporting exposes a local API and standard export formats.
What are its limits?
What it deliberately does not do:
- Reporting reports what the system holds; it is not a place to enter data, only to read it.
- Reporting is not a full BI suite — it produces operational reporting and exports to a BI tool for deeper analysis.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the figures come from?
From the same ledger every module writes — live operations, not an end-of-period export.
Can we get the data into our own BI tool?
Yes, through the API and standard export formats.
Is it a full BI suite?
No. It produces operational reporting and feeds a BI tool for deeper analysis.
