Schedule
Booking — Schedule holds the timetables and sailings by route and season that every booking is sold against, in one place the rest of the system reads from.
All modulesBORA Systems is a ferry operations platform built in Tallinn, Estonia — 33 modules across 6 functional categories, each on its own microservice with a local API. Certified to ISO/IEC 27001 and GDPR-compliant. As of 2026, in daily service across three regions: the Baltic, the Channel Islands and the Persian Gulf.
What does it do?
Schedule is the single timetable the whole system books against. Every route's sailings, by date and season, are defined once here, and Sales, GDS and the booking console all read the same schedule rather than keeping their own.
Because the schedule is one source, a change to a sailing — a retimed departure, a seasonal frequency — reaches every channel at once, without re-entering it per channel.
How does it work?
Define
Each sailing is entered with its route, date and time — the single source every channel books against.
Season
Seasonal frequencies and exceptions are described on the schedule, not per booking.
Publish
Sales, GDS and the console read the same schedule the moment it changes.
Change
A retimed or cancelled sailing updates every channel at once.
What does it connect to?
Schedule feeds Sales, GDS and the booking console, and is priced by Dynamic pricing against each sailing.
Schedule exposes a local API so an operator's planning tools can read or write the timetable.
What are its limits?
What it deliberately does not do:
- Schedule holds the timetable; it does not price a sailing — that is Dynamic pricing's job, applied against the schedule.
- Schedule is not a crew or vessel rostering system: it schedules sailings, not shifts.
Frequently asked questions
Is the schedule shared across channels?
Yes. Every channel books against the one schedule, so a change reaches all of them at once.
Does Schedule set prices?
No. Dynamic pricing applies rates against the schedule; Schedule holds the sailings.
Can our planning tools read it?
Yes, through the module's local API.
