What does it do?
Audit log records what happened across the whole platform — the actions taken, by whom, when, on which record — in an immutable log that cannot be edited after the fact. It is the accountability layer beneath every module.
Because the log is immutable and platform-wide, a question about a change — who refunded this, when was this rule altered — has one authoritative answer, not a reconstruction from scattered records.
